This summer, I’m doing sales and marketing for SeeClickFix, an internet company that allows anyone to quickly report non-emergency issues such as potholes and graffiti to local authorities through a website or phone app.
We recently found out that we were one of the three winners of the Global Innovation Series Startup Contest, sponsored by Mashable and BMW i! Ben Berkowitz (SeeClickFix founder and CEO) will present the company’s work on stage at the Global Innovation Series in Berlin on July 16.
This is the video I made for the contest application. Video is definitely not my strongest medium (I used the project as an opportunity to play with Final Cut Pro for the first time) but I learnt a lot while scrambling to distill 3 hours of footage into a 3 minute video. I have a huge amount of respect for people who’re able to apply a palette of sounds and images to the four-dimensional canvas within which videos are made.
